At Retro Staycations, we have 10 large traditional grass pitches, each offering electric hook-up and fresh water supply. All pitches are level and unmarked, allowing friends and family groups to pitch up together. Additionally, there is a plentiful supply of non-electric grass pitches.
All camping pitches are located on the opposite side of the field to the Airstream caravans and boast a great view of the downs with friendly farm animals grazing in the neighbouring field.
Campers are welcome to use the on-site amenities block (separate heated male/female toilets and hot showers), washing-up sinks, fridge-freezer, free car park and on-site farm shop. NEW FOR 2026! Ranch-style communal seating area offering shelter/shade.
We can also provide you with discounted ferry travel to the Isle of Wight!
PLEASE NOTE: We do not pre-allocate camping pitches. You can choose your pitch from those available on arrival. Pitches are priced per accommodation unit, which is defined as a single tent/motorhome/camper/caravan/TentBox.
Power is via a 16amp hook-up socket. If you book an Electric pitch, please ensure you bring the relevant 3-pin UK caravan/motorhome hook-up cable to enable you to plug in!
As Retro Staycations is located on a working farm, any dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and remain within the camping field. This is to ensure the safety of all animals as cattle graze in the neighbouring field. Dogs that are on the government-banned dogs list will not be considered.
There are several grey waste emptying points on site, along with an Elsan chemical waste disposal point, which is free to use for anyone camping with us. BBQ’s and fire pits are permitted, so long as they’re raised off the ground.

Fancy the idea of camping but with a solid roof? We have the ideal solution!
New to Retro Staycations are TWO fully-insulated camping pods. Made from fibreglass, both pods are softwood-lined with lockable uPVC double-glazed doors and rear windows. The doors open onto a small deck, and you also have a grassy area for cooking, sunbathing and outdoor games.
The pods are offered to rent as an empty shell – unfurnished – everything must be brought along as if you were camping with a tent, including beds and bedding. Single or double air beds are available to hire when booking, if required. Think of a pod as a replacement for your tent, and bring all your other camping gear, including sleeping bags, a sleeping mat (if you’d like to put it on top of the mattress), pots and pans, a stove and camping chairs. You’ll cook outside, just as you do when camping in a tent.
They each contain 2x twin plug sockets, plus interior and exterior light, and vinyl flooring.
At a spacious 2.5m wide x 3m deep, the pods comfortably sleep 2 adults (included in the price). Maximum of 4 persons (2 adults and 2 children) in total.
Crafted from recycled materials, each pod incorporates over 1,000 recycled plastic bottles, giving waste plastics a new, purposeful life.
As with all camping pitches, guests have full use of the on-site amenities block (separate male/female toilets and showers), free car park and on-site farm shop.

All packages use deluxe 5m canvas bell tents as standard, which sleep up to 5 people.
Prices start from £160 for the blank canvas package or £275 for the Luxury Campsite Glamping as outlined above. A two-night minimum hire period applies.
